  1. What is a GTN Representative (GTN Rep)? Top
The person that gathers and oversees all of the alumni in their local church roles and encourages them in their specific target. You need to have a heart for missions and a passion to help direct other Alumni into their specific target ministry and help them serve their own local church.

  2. What are the responsibilities of a GTN Representative (GTN Rep)? Top
    1. Provide a Monthly Meeting

    2. Develop an Email System to have clear and effective electronic communication to all the alumni in your area.

    3. Attend Yearly Training Conference –A yearly training gathering where we allow the Holy Spirit to minister.

  3. How do I become a GTN Representative (GTN Rep)? Top
To become a network representative, you must do the following:

    - Submit an application along with 3 references (1 YWAM, 1 Pastor & 1 Other).
    - You must be a DTS Graduate.
    - You must have experience with working in the local church.

  4. What kind of commitment will it require? Top
We accept full time and part time workers. You need to have a heart for missions and a passion to help direct alumni into their specific target ministry. You also need a love to periodically bring people together for fellowship, fun, and vision. (Requires heart work, not hard work). On -the job training will be provided by our office.

  5. How will I work with YWAM Alumni in the area? Top
    1. You can develop an A.C.T.S. Ministry Team, that being a team you gather with periodically, a special interest group targeting a specific area, and/or a team of alumni in a specific local church. One of them would be appointed as the Local Church Rep.

    2. You would also provide Gatherings for alumni at least once per quarter, preferably once per month and an Alumni Rally at least once per year.

    3. You would make yourself available for relational interaction with the YWAM Alumni in your area.

  6. What is a Gathering? Top
A monthly meeting featuring rich fellowship, helping alumni target a clean walk with God and finding their passion and gifts and helping to be a bridge to their local church.

  7. What is an Alumni Rally? Top
Larger gatherings to cast vision, share ministry opportunities and keep in touch with the larger body of Alumni.

  8. How will I relate to local YWAM bases? Top
All GTN Reps will report to a point person from the closest YWAM base for communication, coordination and collaboration. If you are geographically close to a base, the base can be a great place for fellowship, encouragement and support.

  9. How will I work with other GTN Reps in the area? Top
Each Rep will have the opportunity to form dynamic ministry teams that will assist them in ministry and outreaches. We call these teams A.C.T.S. Ministry Teams (A.C.T.S.: Alumni Called To Service).

  10. What is an A.C.T.S. Ministry Team? Top
    1. A group of Alumni that meet periodically with the Area/ City Representative (ACR).

    2. A group of people who have the same passion to impact their business or university.

    3. If a local church has more than one YWAM Alumni in it, we would appoint the most suitable Alumni to be the Local Church Representative (LCR) and the whole group would be an A.C.T.S. Ministry Team. In the near future, DTS students will automatically be enrolled in an A.C.T.S. Ministry Team, immediately following their DTS.

  11. What kind of local church experience will I need? Top
You must have had a position working with the church submitting to church leadership.

  12. How will I relate to the local YWAM base? Top
All network representatives will report to a point person from the closest YWAM base for communication, coordination and collaboration. If you are geographically close to a base, the base can be a great place for fellowship, encouragement and support.

  13. What is a Local Church Rep (LCR)? Top
We want to commission YWAM alumni into being Local Church Representatives in their or another particular church, who will work with and help facilitate A.C.T.S. ministry teams in that church. Any student coming home from DTS can be commissioned to be a LCR.

  14. What is the role of a Local Church Rep (LCR)? Top
The primary job of the Local Church Rep is to be the bridge (go-between) between the team and the church. The LCR must build relationships with the church pastor and leaders and in wisdom introduce resources that would help mobilize that church toward their mission vision. They may then be responsible for organizing and coordinating an event or program in that church, as the resource would suggest and at the pastor/leaders’ agreement.

  15. What are Open Door Resources (Level 1)? Top
These are simple and easy resources for a church to access and utilize. They range from full service outreaches for youth groups to drama kits and other creative arts resources.

  16. What are Strategic Resources (Level 2)? Top
These can help a church to get involved in a host of ministries locally or globally. These resources require the Local Church Rep to coordinate together with the Area or City Rep.

  17. What are Transformation Resources (Level 3)? Top
These are designed to help the church impact the community they target (local or global). Again, they require the area or city rep to work with the local church rep in developing a plan for the church they are working with.
